Excellent hospital.
Immaculately clean surroundings. Lovely waiting room for children. Mine are grown up but my Daughter was still impressed.
Did not have time to stop for food but the Coffee Shop looked tempting and the smell was lovely.
A lady called Cordelia made the original arrangements for us and was kind, competent and jolly.
Partcularly impressed by the availability of private Casualty facilities.
The hospital is in a very easy location to access. We spent the night in Maida Vale having had a long journey.
I had inguinal hernia surgery two days ago at the Hospital of St John and St Elizabeth. From early morning arrival at reception, through admittance and pre-op checks in my room, through surgery and post-op recovery, through post-op checks, lunch and tea back in my room, to discharge later than afternoon, I cannot praise the hospital and all its staff – surgeon, anaesthetist, nurses, reception, and catering – highly enough. Aside from expertise, everyone, without exception, looked after me with consideration, good humour, and a calming reassurance. Thank you!
All positive.
My child has just left the hospital after an orthopaedic operation. The surgeon and anaesthetist were excellent. But the postoperative nursing care was abysmal. I cannot overstate the appalling lack of interest and condescension of the nursing staff. She was in dreadful dreadful pain for four hours while they just kept saying she had had paracetamol and that it was a very good drug. My husband and I have had surgery in other private hospitals and the NHS and this was the worst experience imaginable to have a child in agony and being ignored.
There was an improvement when I said I was going to complain but then it was too late.
Reception at the Main entrance not helpfull at all
Gastrointestinal Department dirty toilets
Consultant late for the appointment, paid 200£ for 5 minutes chat.
This is a truly magnificent hospital; accommodation and facilities are first class but it is the staff who really make it shine. They are dedicated and so kind. The fact that procedures carried out in the hospital support free hospice care for so many people is fantastic.
Lovely hospital, efficient staff, great consultant. Very easy to park which was important as have a wheelchair accessible vehicle so need room, which is difficult if you have to use street parking bays in London.
Easy to find way around the hospital and nice and comfortable waiting areas prior to appointment.
Only issue was a rude security guard. But all other staff and carpark attendant all very helpful and polite.
Really, I cannot fault the care and attention given to me whilst I was there.
Excellent care from all the staff
